Sicom Industries Ltd. a well-established Langley, BC based Machine shop is expanding. We require 3 CNC Technologist for immediate openings for challenging work in Aerospace, Defense and Hi-Tech. In this role, you will be responsible for designing components of new CNC machines including mill-turn lathes, VTL’s and/or 4 & 5 axis milling centers.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop and conduct production, inventory and quality assurance programs in manufacturing unit
- Design components for standard mechanical production technologies: CNC machining, sheet metal, extrusion, casting, injection moulding and assembly.
- Create and maintain CAD/CAM applications for computer numerical control (CNC) machines and other manufacturing processes and operations.
- Participate in product development and manufacturing activities.
Preference will be given to candidates who have a college diploma/program in industrial engineering technology or in related fields and able to communicate in English. For this role, our ideal candidate should have experience of minimum 2 to 3 years in a manufacturing and relevant field. Your strong organizational and communication skills will also serve you well.
Minimum work of 30 hours to 40 hours per week will be given. Morning, Afternoon and Night shifts available from Mondays to Fridays. Overtime will be paid if any, after 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
