Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Driver logbook, Trans-border documentation, Trip reports, Maintenance and repair reports
Specific Skills:
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Driver as part of a two-person team or convoy
Incentives: We will be giving the following incentives to any Canadian/Permanent Resident filling in the position:
- $750 cash will be paid to any Canadian/PR who is successfully placed in our company, after six months of employment with us
- Increase wages to $25/hr after six months of employment with company
- Retention bonus of $750 after six months of placement of Canadian/PR, for employee who continues to work past six months with us
- Pay for training up to two weeks to candidates who are interested and willing to give a commitment of at least one year.
