Job location: 682 Alpha Street, Victoria BC, V8Z 1B2

We are a locally owned, full service and professional tile and flooring store in Victoria, BC. This job is challenging, rewarding, and it requires a passion for service. There may be need to work overtime, mornings, evenings or weekends.

The main duties include:

• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles;
• Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets;
• Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base;
• Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered;
• Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite;
• Install tile strips
• Align and straighten tiles;
• Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel;
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools;
• Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout;
• Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs

Secondary (high school) graduation certificate

Work experience required

2 years to less than 3 years

Criminal record checks and drug testing will be done upon approval.

Physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, attention to detail, overtime required, ability to distinguish between colors.

Estimate costs and materials. Prepare tenders and quotations.
