Job Description:
Receive and dispatch orders for products or deliveries;
Operate communication and dispatching equipment;
Keep the knowledge of trucking associated rules and regulation and also, cross border dispatching regulations and practices;
Determine most efficient ways of routing and transportation for the delivery or pick up of goods;
Schedule deliveries by engaging truck drivers in conversation to provide them with information on route and delivery times;
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with shipments;
Maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information;
Monitor drivers’ daily logs for errors or violations and monitor their working hours and equipment availability; Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses;
Employment Requirements:
-secondary education is required
-experience is an asset.
