We need two (2) Long Haul Truck Drivers. As long-haul truck driver, you will be required to operate a tractor-trailer and haul commercial goods over long distances. You will be required to depart for destinations thousands of kilometers away from home. You will be required to cross-interprovincial boundaries and travel over international routes across North America. You will be required to be away home for several days per week or weeks at a time. Must have the willingness and ability to operate the tractor-trailer combination independently in mountainous terrain. When hauling loads across wet, slippery or icy conditions, must have the ability to install tire chains. Must be willing to undergo paid training for load securing, log book maintenance and border crossing.
Wage:
$26.50 per hour for 40 to 60 hours per week
As per Commercial Vehicle Drivers’ Hours of Service Regulation, Overtime will be paid after 60 hrs/week if truck driven out of Province.
Overtime will be paid after 10 hrs/day or 50 hrs/week if the truck is operated provincially in Alberta

Job Duties:
Perform preventive maintenance; Perform emergency roadside repairs; Pay and receive payment for good; Load and unload goods; Receive and relay information to central dispatch; Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport good and materials; Tarping and ensuring safety of cargo; Drive as part of two-person team or convoy; Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment; Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption; Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
