Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports
Tasks
-Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy,
-Load and unload goods,
-Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes,
-Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials,
-Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment,
-Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle,
-Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
-Driver should be eligible and willing to go to U.S.A
Security and safety: Valid passport, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test
Transportation/travel information: Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel internationally, Willing to travel overnight
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Sitting
