Duties would be to plan, organize and implement child-care programs related to overall development of children. Lead children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical, and emotional growth and maintain a friendly environment ensuring health, security, and well-being of children. Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress reports with parents and other staff members. Promote each child’s individuality and self-esteem. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children. Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required. Minimum work of 35 to 40hrs/week will be given along with 2 days off per week. Previous experience in childcare would be an asset. Minimum education is completion of college diploma in early childhood education. Certification of Early Childhood Educator is required. Criminal Record Check and CPR/First Aid is an asset.
