Jamjar is seeking a Kitchen Manager. It’s a permanent full-time (30 – 40 hours per week – weekday, evening, and weekend shifts). Wage of $34.70/h, a 4% paid vacation. Gratuities are not available for this position.

Job duties and responsibilities
- Oversee and schedule the activities of staff responsible for food preparation, portioning, and service.
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation.
- Maintain records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
- Support the owners in recruiting new staff members.
- Train employees in job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety practices.
- Establish work schedules and monitor staff performance.
- Ensure food quality and service standards are consistently met.
- Provide assistance to food service staff when needed.
- Collaborate with the restaurant owner to develop policies, procedures, and budgets.
Job requirements:
- Must have completed post-secondary diploma in hospitality or a related field;
- Must have previous supervisory/management work experience (2 years minimum) in the restaurant and several years of experience as a restaurant team member;
- Must be able to handle stress and work in a very fast-paced environment;
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English;
- Must have organization skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Must be able to handle stress and work well under pressure.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be customer service oriented.
- Must be able to work flexible hours weekends.
- Must have time-management and decision-making skills and ability to multitask.
