We need two (2) Long Haul Truck Drivers. As a long-haul truck driver, you will be required to operate a tractor-trailer and haul commercial goods over long distances. You will be required to depart for destinations thousands of kilometres away from home. You will be required to cross-interprovincial boundaries and travel over international routes across North America. You will be required to be away home for several days per week or weeks at a time. Must have the willingness and ability to operate the tractor-trailer combination, as well as the ability to handle heavy loads.
Wage:
$26.50 per hour for 40 to 60 hours per week
As per Commercial Vehicle Drivers’ Hours of Service Regulation, Overtime will be paid after 60 hrs/week if the truck is driven out of the Province.
Overtime will be paid after 10 hrs/day or 50 hrs/week if the truck is operated provincially in Alberta

Job Duties:
Perform preventive maintenance; Perform emergency roadside repairs; Pay and receive payment for good; Load and unload goods; Receive and relay information to central dispatch; Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport good and materials; Tarping and ensuring safety of cargo; Drive as part of two-person team or convoy; Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment; Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption; Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
