GoodHome Painting Inc. is seeking two experienced Painter. It’s a full-time, permanent position, , $28.00/hour. 40 hours/week with overtime per the Employment Standards Act of British Columbia. 4% paid vacation. Our business address is #204 – 1590 15th Ave. W, Vancouver, BC, V6J 2K6, Canada.
Start date: As soon as possible.
Work location: Various locations in Vancouver Mainland
As a Painter you will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Utilizing various brushes, rollers and spray equipment to mix, thin and apply stains, lacquer, enamel, oil, vanish paint, wallpaper, etc.
- Filling cracks and holes in walls and making sure surfaces are level;
- Taking measurements of work surfaces and preparing job estimates;
- Preparing high-rise surfaces for the application of paint, including scraping, sanding, hydro-blasting, repairing and cleaning surfaces;
- Ensuring the quantity and quality of supplies is appropriate for the painting projects;
- Cleaning up job sites.
Requirements:
- Must be comfortable and capable of working at heights in various weather conditions in order to perform site inspections;
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of direct experience as a painter/decorator;
- Weight Handling up to 23 kg.
- Must have experience with multi-color finishes, powder coating, paint spraying, wallpaper, drywall taping/patching, Staining, Glazing;
- Craftsmanship and manual dexterity is a must;
- Must be able to work under minimum supervision;
- Must have attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination;
- Reliability, Initiative, Flexibility, Team player.
